Though not a standard title, much of what we do is to “ghost write” legal documents for our client’s use; as well as providing thorough and exact legal research and memorandum of law.

When an appeal is from an adverse final judgement after trial, we prepare the appellant’s brief using a unique but rather simple (flow-charted) dynamic process that Gershon first designed in law school, some 30 years ago. The core of the process is a scheduled team approach; with set standards, individual and team responsibilities, timetables, and in-place quality assurance checks and protocols. The dynamic aspects evolve with advances in available technology, and segments modified by Gershon regarding the certain case particulars, client interaction, and our outsourcing environment, .The very first technological advance was when the typewriter was replaced with a personal computer! Gershon Ben-Peretz founded Legal Writing Services with the primary goal of providing work for “the cream of the crop” American lawyers who recently emigrated to Israel after many successful years of (U.S.) legal practice. They have long since passed the stage of being a lawyer by profession; to being a lawyer by nature. This natural guardian of our profession is perfectly suited to being an outsourcing provider; and truly loves every minute. Gershon loves every minute working with them. He has always been our president and managing director; and is directly involved with every case we handle. Gershon is our sole liaison with every client, always maintaining and encouraging a regular and open line of communication. Because of his dedication to our client’s complete satisfaction, no work leaves our offices without Gershon’s thorough review and approval. However, we do not consider a job to be completed , just because the work was submitted to the client. Work is considered completed only when the client is 100% satisfied.
Prior to relocating to Israel, he was the founder and senior managing partner of a rather “small” (now replaced by the word “boutique”), private, multistate law practice: based in Miami, Florida. Gershon was a trial lawyer; specializing in the litigation and appeals of criminal cases in U.S. Federal and State Courts. He defended approximately 100 major jury trials in U.S. District Courts; and wrote and argued scores of appeals in U.S. Circuit Courts. His civil cases were mostly transactional in nature (i.e. Intellectual Property, Commercial, and Real-Estate); and disputes involving these matters (including Marital and Family law cases), were tried in State Court. In addition to being a practicing attorney, Gershon was a contributing author and managing editor of a series of textbooks for the legal practitioner. Early in his career, he took special delight in teaching graduate level courses in law and professional practice management, as an adjunct professor.
If from this, you gather that Gershon loves the law, you are 100% correct; but only partially so. He also loves living in Israel, loves our firm, and gratefully appreciates every client. The 4 parts are mutually

Gershon’s open-door policy applies to our legal staff as well. He delights in mentoring everyone.. For example, when we write a criminal appellate brief, it is common for a staff member to request a brainstorming session, regarding a way to tackle a seemingly impossible argument for an issue on appeal. There is always someone who strokes a bit of Gershon’s ego, by making sure to tell him that this is true forte. Gershon invariably finds a Constitutional basis to argue the issue. He then reminds the throng that this is his fortissimo; and they may now assemble the argument; “which will fall into play easier than a 25 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle”. To the uninitiated, this may sound like silly gloating; but when the magical moment often happens, even the Founding Fathers are heard to sigh in relief. Please note that Gershon is better able to explain this phenomenon, so I ask that you not shoot the messenger…
